About David and Esther
We are two filmmakers who share a passion for creating wedding films that are emotional and unique. One of the compliments we frequently hear that we are most proud of is how effectively we capture the particular emotions and personalities of the people we film. We pay close attention to who you are every step of the way to make sure that not only do you love your final product, but you also enjoy having us around on your wedding day. In fact, many clients have told us that we were one of their best vendors to work with.

We film weddings because we love doing it! Unlike most videographers, we are not a wedding video factory – in fact we commit to doing a limited number of films per year in order to keep every film fresh and unique. We shot our first wedding for fun as a favor for some friends and quickly discovered that not only was it a blast to make, but it was the perfect marriage of our respective talents and experience. Esther has a background in art, photography, and design while David has a background in film, psychology, and music. Because it is just the two of us with the occasional extra shooter, we collaborate together on every wedding film we make, giving you all of our expertise and keeping everything in house.

Rings and Cake Wedding Films are a step above the typical and ordinary. Every wedding video we make is a unique work of art, beautifully filmed, artistically conceptualized, and meticulously edited. Unlike your typical wedding video, our films are rich, emotional, and actually fun to watch.

Our secret to making a beautiful wedding film lies in two ideals. First, we use real movie film and old-time projectors in addition to state-of-the-art digital video. This creates a vintage, instantly classic look and feel that traditional wedding videography is unable to capture.

Second, we are a company of only two people. This allows us to get to know you better and create a film that reflects your style, your emotion, and your personality.  From answering your questions on the phone to spending your wedding day with you to editing your film and fielding music suggestions, we are with you every step of the way.

Why use Super 8mm film?
State of the art video cameras capture fantastic pictures and sound of your wedding. We always use them for this reason. But what sets our films apart from the field is how we use super 8mm film to supplement your wedding video.

Super 8mm movie film has a quality that digital technology just cannot provide.  It delivers a richer and more magical picture, eliciting an increased emotional response from the viewer. Why? In digital video, the viewer sees absolutely every little detail in a picture.  But the human brain actually has a more emotional response when it does not have all the information. When you see a little less detail, without thinking about it you start to fill in the blanks with your own imagination, feelings, and memories.  When you watch your wedding video years from now, the digital video will show you your wedding day, but the Super 8mm film will remind you how you felt on your wedding day.

We are a very specialized company - we are not going to fit the needs of everyone. Clients who hire us are typically looking for a film that is different from traditional wedding video.
